Southern Insulation Inc. was founded in 1971 as an independent insulation contractor. Louis Strieter, the founding President, brought with him over twenty-five years of insulation contracting experience – This served as the foundation for solid growth. Since 1971, Southern has grown into 3 divisions with over 20 years of experience and knowledge in each trade. Today, Southern Insulation is the Baltimore-Washington area’s only contractor concentrating in the hazardous abatement, mechanical insulation, fireproofing/stopping, and general contracting fields.
